Mrs. Camille
Harmon ,
Assistant Principal
We are pleased to announce one of
the newest members of our administrative staff, Mrs. Camille Harmon.
Mrs. Harmon joins us from Brandon
Middle School where she served as the School Improvement Specialist.
She is not new to education, however. She has been with the school
district since 1992 serving not only as an educator, but also as
an active member in community involvement. She has taught math
and science over the years at the Middle School level, and has
also served as Cheerleading sponsor, media liaison, school planning
council member, as well as a teacher representative on the
PTA board. It is quite clear that Mrs. Harmon loves to take part
in the education of others, and we are certainly pleased to have
her among our ranks. She attended Old Dominion University where
she obtained her B.S. in Middle School Education, and Regent University
where she obtained her M.Ed. in Supervision and Administration.
Join us in welcoming Mrs. Camille Harmon as our 6th grade assistant
principal!

Mr.
Frederick P, Rebmann, Jr., Assistant Principal
Mr. Fred Rebmann is no stranger
to Lynnhaven Middle School and we are
pleased
to announce his return as 8th grade assistant principal. Mr.
Rebmann began his teaching career in the United States Navy and
during this time earned his B.S. Degree from Southern Illinois
University of Carbondale, (Occupational Education), an M.S. Degree
from Old Dominion University, (Education) and also completed
an Ed.S. through The George Washington University, (Administration/Supervision).
He has been with the school district since 1997 when he served
right here at Lynnhaven where he taught students in special education,
math, and science. He continued to help mold students outside
of the classroom by coaching track and sponsoring various clubs. Believing
in self-motivation and the guiding of others, he held leadership
roles such as a department chair, teacher mentor, and chaired
many committees. He received various awards for the work he did
at Lynnhaven including the Distinguished Teacher award and being
Tagged by the Superintendent. For the school year
2005-2006 he was given the honor of representing
LMS as our “Teacher
of the Year”. After serving 2 years as an administrative
assistant at Virginia Beach Middle, Mr. Rebmann has continued
his upward transition in public education administration by being
appointed to his position here at Lynnhaven Middle. Please join
us in welcoming back Mr. Fred Rebmann.

Ms. Ellen Rostov, Student Activities Coordinator
Ms. Rostov joined the team at Lynnhaven
Middle School in 1988 after four years of service in Virginia
Beach Public Schools as a teacher of learning disabled students.
Hailing from Norfolk, Virginia, Ms. Rostov attended Monmouth College
in Long Branch, N.J. and was later awarded her Bachelor's degree
from East Carolina University in 1981. She continued her
training at O.D.U. and received her Learning DisabilitiesCertificate
from that school in 1984. Ms. Rostov's duties at L.M.S. include,
among others, the overall coordination of the school's athletic
and student activities programs and community outreach programs.

Ms. Briana Jennings, School
Improvement Specialist
Welcome another new member to our
administrative staff, Ms. Briana Jennings. She will be serving with
us as our School Improvement Specialist. Ms. Jennings brings with
her a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from Virginia Wesleyan, a Master
of Arts degree in Writing and Rhetoric from VCU, and a second master's
degree in Educational Leadership and Supervision from ODU. In the
past she has taught elementary school in Norfolk for three years,
sixth grade English in the Middle Years Program Academy at
Plaza Middle School for five years, and has been an adjunct instructor
of English at TCC and ODU. She was named Plaza Middle School's Teacher
of the Year in 2005-2006! It is easy to see why we are thrilled to
have Ms. Jennings as our SIS here at Lynnhaven Middle School.
